What is GoRici?

GoRici is a National online community; a meeting place for professionals, trades, sub-trades and employees within the residential, industrial, commercial and institutional sectors of the construction industry. You can post jobs openings, find employees, buy or sell equipment, tender projects and even promote events.

What is my Dashboard?

As a member, your Dashboard is your hub for managing all of your GoRici content and settings. From your Dashboard you can create new listings, manage your resumes, upgrade and add credits to your account, and so much more.

Where do I go to obtain information on health and dental benefits?

Once logged into your Dashboard, click Group Insurance on the right-hand side to access rates and information.

Do I have to be a GoRici Business Member in order to apply for Group Health and Dental benefits?

Group Life, Health and Dental benefits are available to Featured and Premium business accounts.

The Business Directory & Rating Companies

How do I list my company in the Business Directory?

Listing your business in the Business Directory is easy. Simply sign up for a GoRici business account (Standard, Featured or Premium), and you're already half way there! With three unique memberships to choose from, we're confident you'll find the one that's right for your business.

Once you've completed the sign-up process and logged into your Dashboard, you'll see a yellow notice box just beneath the banner. That box will prompt you to complete your profile and it will stay there until you've successfully completed the process. Just click the link within the box to get started.

Standard memberships require the GoRici moderation process to OK your listing before publishing, so unlike the Featured and Premium memberships, there may be a slight delay between completing your profile and seeing it live in the Directory. We'll email you once its ready!

How do I add my logo and photos to my Business Profile?

The third step of the Business Profile editor is the optional Photo Manager, where you can upload photos to your profile. Once uploaded, you can re-arrange, crop and select your logo from the group. Detailed instructions will help guide you through the process.

How do I edit my Business Directory listing once I've published it?

Once published, you can edit your listing at any time by logging into your Dashboard and clicking the Edit my business profile link in the woodgrain banner.

Can I list more than one business location on my Business Profile?

You can list more than one location depending on your membership level. Take a look at My Profile Locations for detailed information and instructions.

Can I add additional company users to my account?

If you're a Featured or Premium member - the answer is yes. Featured members can add up to 2 additional users while Premium members can add up to 4! My User Group is accessible from the right side of your Dashboard and from there you can add your company users as well as customize the individual access each user has around the website.

Can I rate a company that is not a current GoRici member?

Yes, you can - and we appreciate the input! There is a button titled Rate a Business on your dashboard and clicking it will launch a window from where you can rate a new business or an existing member.

How do I view company ratings?

To view a company's ratings, visit the Business Directory and click into a Business Profile. If you slide down the page you will be able to read through each of the ratings and reviews that business has received.

How do I rate a company I worked for?

When you rate a business, whether through your Dashboard's Rate a Business button or through a Business Profile's Rate This Business button, the first question you will be asked is What is your relationship with this business? Select I was hired by this business. Note: Personal members do not have access to this feature.

How do I rate a company that worked for me?

Can my customers or clients rate my company?

Absolutely, and we encourage you to tell them about your GoRici Business Profile and invite them to come rate you. They will need to sign up for a membership, but with free Personal and Standard Business memberships, that should be no problem at all.

Can my trades or sub-trades rate my company?

Absolutely, and just like your customers, they will need to sign up for a membership. Personal members cannot rate as sub-trades through, so they'll need to sign up for a Business membership (Standard, Featured or Premium).

Employment & Employee Directories

How do I post a job opportunity?

Adding a job opportunity to the Employment Directory is easy. Once logged into your Dashboard, simply click the Employment tab (or find My Employment Listings on the right side menu) and click Create a New Employment Listing. From there you'll be asked to provide job details in an easy two-step process.

How do I find employees who are currently looking for work?

You can browse the Employee Directory by clicking Employees from the navigation bar once you are logged into your Business membership. From there you can search and browse through all published Employee resumes and find the right people for your business.

Resumes

How do I post a resume?

As a Personal member, you have access to GoRici's Resume Builder which is a great tool for putting together your resume. The 4-step process takes you through your Education, Work Experience and any Special Skill Set you have, producing a standard, well-laid-out resume that employers can use to find you.

If you already have a resume, you can Upload it to GoRici and submit that along with your job applications. You can manage both built and uploaded resumes on the My Resumes page, which is accessible from the right-side menu on your Dashboard.

How often can I post my resume?

You can create as many resumes as you'd like, but only one can be published at any given time. That means you can create 5 different resumes for applying to 5 different types of jobs, and easily cycle between them when you submit your application, but you'll need to carefully choose which resume you want to publish to the Employee Directory at any given time. You can update and switch your public resumes at any point - as many times as you'd like.

Do I have to be a member to post my resume?

Yes, you'll need to have a Personal membership to post resumes - and luckily our Personal memberships are free. Visit our sign-up page to get started. You're only minutes away from applying to the industry's top job openings.

The Marketplace

What is the Marketplace?

The Marketplace is your source for buying and selling all things construction. Whether you need to buy or sell new or used vehicles, equipment or materials - the Marketplace offers excellent outreach to your target market.

How do I edit my listings in the Marketplace?

Editing your listings is easy. Once created, you can visit My Marketplace Listings and edit the ones you'd like to change. You can also adjust your photos from here. My Marketplace Listings is accessible from your Dashboard.

How do I post pictures of the items I'm selling?

When you create your Marketplace listing, the second step (after entering your listing details) is adding your listing photos. You can also visit My Marketplace Listings and click photos beside your listing to adjust them at any time. Detailed instructions are available to walk you through the process.

How long do my items stay listed in the Marketplace?

For the moment, your listings aren't going anywhere unless you take them down. If you sell something, we kindly ask that you remove the listing by visiting My Marketplace Listings and click remove beside your listing.

How do I purchase an item listed in the Marketplace?

When you're looking at a listing, you'll see a contact form on the right. Simply fill out your information and click Submit to send an email to the item owner. You need to be a member to submit the form, and you'll be prompted to log in or sign-up if you're not already logged into your account.

The Project Directory

How do I post a job for tender?

Adding a job for tender to the Projects Directory is easy - but first its important to note that you'll need a Premium membership to do so. Once logged into your Dashboard, simply click the Projects tab (or find My Project Listings on the right side menu) and click Create a New Project Listing. From there, you'll be asked to provide your project details and in Step 2 you can add blueprints and photos, if you have any.

How do I view job tenders?

The GoRici Projects Directory is full of great jobs waiting for your tender. You'll need either a Featured or Premium membership to access the Directory though.

How do I submit a job tender?

The answer varies from job to job. Different companies have different processes for accepting tenders, and while some may post a file that you need to download and fax back, others may simply request that you email them. If nothing is specified, we suggest clicking the big green Submit Your Quote button on the right-hand side of the page to send an email.

Events

What is the Event Calendar and what will I find on it?

The Event Calendar is your source for finding upcoming local and national industry events and tradeshows. You can also list your own events on the calendar, utilizing GoRici as an effective promotional tool to bring visitors to your location.

How do I post an event in the Event Calendar?

Adding an event to the Event Calendar is easy - but first its important to note that you'll need a business membership to do so. Once logged into your Dashboard, simply click the Events tab (or find My Event Listings on the right side menu) and click Create a New Event Listing. From there you'll be asked to provide event details and in Step 2 you can add photos of your product or event location - anything that will help to promote your event.

How long does my event stay listed on the Event Calendar?

For the moment, your listings aren't going anywhere unless you take them down. We keep past events in the calendar so our users can look back at ones they have visited and missed out on. If you'd like to take your listing down after the event - thats ok too - just visit My Event Listings and click remove.

Articles

Can I save articles to my Dashboard for future reference?

Absolutely. While looking at an article, simply click the green Save to Favourites button beneath the article title and you'll notice the button changes to Remove From Favourites. This indicates that it has been added to your favourites (which are accessible from the bottom right of your Dashboard). You can remove an article from your favourites at any time by clicking the Remove From Favourites button.

Memberships, Signing Up, and Credits

Are there different levels of membership?

GoRici offers 4 levels of membership; a Personal membership and 3 levels of Business memberships (Standard, Featured and Premium). Our Personal and Standard Business memberships are free and are available for those who would like to take a look at what GoRici has to offer - whether your a personal user or representing a business. How can I pay for my membership?

All paid memberships offer 1-year terms and can be paid for securely by a credit card. We currently accept Visa and Mastercard.

Does my membership renew automatically?

GoRici makes renewals easy. One week before your membership is set to renew, you'll receive an email notifying you of the upcoming date as well as providing instructions on closing your account if you'd like to do so before the renewal. To continue with the renewal, just make sure you keep the email for your records and we'll handle the rest.

I am not a business owner, can I still become a GoRici member?

Absolutely, just sign up as a free Personal member and you can save your favourite businesses and articles, buy equipment, create your resume, apply for jobs and keep track of upcoming industry events.

Do you keep my credit card information on file?

Your credit card information is secured off-site by a third party company dedicated to payment processing and security. We don't keep your credit card on our servers nor do we have access to the information on it, but we do provide you with the ability to handle credit additions, upgrades and membership renewals with just one click.

Is my credit card information safe?

Absolutely - you're in good hands. GoRici utilizes industry-standard SSL encryption when you transmit your data, and Authorize.net stores it securely off-site as an extra precaution. We also don't retain any of your payment data on our end.

What are Rici Credits?

Rici Credits are the currency we use around the site for employment listings and credit reports. Your business membership comes with some free credits and you can both purchase additional credits as well as earn credits by reviewing other businesses and referring your friends and associates to sign up to GoRici.

Can I purchase additional credits?

Yes, we offer a variety of credit packages and you can add them to your account at any time by visting My Settings from the right-hand side of your Dashboard. Group users will have access to your credits but they can't purchase additional ones on their own, so make sure you always have enough for them to work with!

How can I earn more Rici Credits?

You can earn Rici Credits by reviewing businesses in the Business Directory and by referring your friends and associates to sign up to GoRici.

How do I obtain a credit report?

GoRici's Standard, Featured and Premium business members can obtain credit reports in one of two ways. Each business in the GoRici Business Directory has a blue Run a Credit Check button at the top right of the Business Profile. Clicking it will take you to a pre-populated Credit Look-up screen to obtain information about that business. If you'd like to request a credit check on a business that isn't already in the Business Directory, you can click Credit Reports from the right-side menu on your Dashboard to Run a new Credit Check.

How long does it take to obtain a credit report?

Credit reports typically take 24-48 hours to process. If, for some reason, there was a problem processing the credit request, your credits will be returned to your account.

Can I store the credit report on my Dashboard?

Yes, once you've purchased a credit report you can access it at any time by clicking Credit Reports from the right-side menu on your Dashboard.

How many credits do I receive when I refer someone to the site?

The amount varies depending on your membership level and the membership the person you referred signs up for, but when you click the Invite Your Friends button on your dashboard, you'll see a breakdown of the credits there.
